Dear Parents/Carers,

You will, no doubt, have seen the weather warnings for exceptionally high temperatures due on Monday 18^th and Tuesday 19^th July.

Both schools will remain fully open during this period, however we will be adapting our provision to spend more time in shaded areas outside or in cooler areas of each school building as required. We will also be keeping the children in shaded areas during play and lunchtimes.

The children can come to school wearing their PE kit on these days - shorts, t-shirts are fine with trainers please, no open-toed sandals for safety reasons. Please also ensure your child has suncream applied before school and brings a sun hat and plenty of water to drink. 

The covering email with your reports which you will receive at 2pm tomorrow will mention the open evenings on Monday 18^th July however due to the high afternoon temperatures in classrooms, we are cancelling our planned open evenings for Monday 18th.
